“Great Senior, it is not that I do not want to protect the young master under your care, but it’s that I have some incredible difficulties that I urgently need to resolve…” Sung Li said as he tried to appear more resolute.

Among the black clouds, Huang Xue thought for a while before he asked, his voice resounding around Sung Li:
“And why did the Gui clan gather an alliance to attack your Sung clan?”
Sung Li froze before he let out a sigh. “To be honest with senior, it…it was because a talented clansman of ours had killed the successor of the Gui clan, thoroughly enraging them. And back then, our Sung clan did not try to pacify the Gui clan, but rather continued to ridicule them…all the way up until the disaster struck.”
To have the successor of one’s clan be killed, it was surely enough reason for large massacre to break out; especially given the law of the jungle in the Earthly Lands. The Sung clan had been too overconfident in themselves, which resulted in their eventual demise…
After a moment, the archaic voice spread out once more.
“The Infernal Land…since I am planning to travel there in the future, I can promise you this: as long as you watch over that child until he reaches the Profound He realm, I will personally go avenge your clan in your place. A surge of happiness and disbelief arose in Sung Li’s heart when he heard Huang Xue’s words. He had already long realized that for him to reach the level in which he could threaten the four major clans in the Infernal Land may take an extremely long time, even with help from the Saint Mirror.

The second dark column dispersed when it neared the right side from where Sung Li stood in the air. The dissipating black clouds revealed the three lifeless figures in purple robe. A tiny black flame flickered within their eyes.When Sung Li noticed them, he immediately recognized them.
“Elder Kun, Elder Hu…and that’s even Elder Mu!” Sung Li sucked in a cold breath as he saw those figures. These were the people who had been chasing him for nearly the past two years!
While Elder Kun and Elder Hu were at the 3rd stage of Dao Ascent like him, Elder Mu was actually at the 7th stage! He was genuine late staged Dao Ascent! It was because of this elder that Sung Li had to be extra careful every time he moved around.
